Find Recycling Centres

Sidmouth Recycling Centre

Bowd, Sidmouth EX10 0AX, UK – 0345 155 1010

Have always found the staff to be helpful, they take a wide range of rubbish and recycle it. They accept everything from waste oil to old bathroom equipment. There is also a site shop selling items which have been salvaged for the rubbish brought in. Opening hours change between summer and winter so check before leaving home. Also and not surprisingly they close on time so don't leave it until the last minute before travelling there.

This is a great recycling centre - easy access, level unloading, lots of space to avoid queues on the road, nicely landscaped. Big improvement over the previous nearby facility.

The Victoria Hotel

The Esplanade, Sidmouth EX10 8RY, UK – 01395 512651

Very old school English seaside hotel. Everything is if taken out of the TV series The Royal. Excellent, friendly and attentive service. The rooms are nicely decorated, albeit a tad small. One warning though: the bed in our room was very short not really fitting anyone above 1,70m The dinner is a very classic experience. Pretty good food. Most of the clientele is 70y+, with a few the mix, but the mood is very nice. I can surely recommend a stay

Excellent food, fantastic service. Great facilities. Amazing location

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.
